Join us on the ‘farm’ for a little Sunset Goat Yoga.
Caprine Vinyasa or Goat Yoga is a novel way to reap the benefits of both animal therapy and yoga! Open to yogis of every skill level, this class is not your typical yoga session but still a relaxing form of beginner level yoga that involves smiles, laughter, and of course, goats! Miniature goats are just the right size (think large Beagle) to jump on your back, snuggle in your lap or take a nap on your mat as you move through our certified instructor’s guidance.
After the yoga session, enjoy the setting sun with a glass of wine and cheese & crackers as you interact with the ‘kids’.
This goat yoga session is outdoors, so bring your yoga mat, an old towel to put under your mat and a water bottle. We also suggest:
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy or having nibbled on by goats. And you want your back to be as covered as possible. For the best experience, wear a shirt with sleeves made of non-slippery material. Little goat hooves have more traction on fabric than skin, and silky materials make it hard for goats to stand still. You can also bring a collared, button down shirt to put on just during the yoga session.
- A hair tie! Pygmy goats will nibble on your hair! To prevent this from happening we suggest you put your hair up.
Space is limited so RESERVE YOUR SPOT right away by check or PayPal. Even if you have no interest in actually doing yoga, but would rather interact with the goats, you MUST reserve a spot at firstname.lastname@example.org. $40 per person. Rain date is September 7th. You will be contacted by email should we need to cancel/reschedule due to weather.

The Dotty Fund was set up to provide financial assistance to local families in need who may not be in a position to pay for necessary medical treatment for their pets. The Dotty Fund has been in existence since 2001, but attained its 501c3 not-for-profit status in 2010. We operate solely on private donations (which are tax-deductible), grants and small fund raising ventures.
To have met Dotty is to have loved Dotty. She truly left her mark on the heart of every human and animal she came in contact with. She was bright, funny, personable and a force to be reckoned with. She dedicated her life to fighting for animal rights and helping animals, especially those in the Huntington Town Shelter where she was the primary dog temperament assessor until she succumbed to cancer. Dotty bequeathed a small amount of money to cover expenses for the shelter dogs and we have vowed to keep the fund alive in honor of Dotty’s spirit.
